PRICING:

50-60 minute classes = $1,200 for the year ($400 per billing period)

30 minute classes = $765 for the year ($255 per billing period)

There will be three billing periods, Fall, Winter, & Spring.

ENROLLMENT DATES:

• Open enrollment for all families: Monday, August 3rd at 11am (Classes will be available below for enrollment) 

We do not issue refunds once you have registered your child for any classes, camps or events so please enroll carefully with that information.  We do NOT issue refunds even if the class has not started yet.  The offering of future credits for camp or class tuition is determined on a case by case basis and credits are not given if a child decides they no longer wish to pursue dancing.

If you are given a credit due to an extenuating circumstance, that credit will expire one year from the day it was issued, no exceptions.

We do not transfer tuition to our other locations so please be sure you enroll in the correct location.

We offer 10% off tuition for a sibling or additional classes.  Private lessons do not receive any multi class discounts.

We offer 3 makeup classes per billing cycle. Once your dancer misses a class, you can reach out via email or phone call to schedule a makeup lesson. All makeup lessons must be for the dancer making up the class and are subject to availability. 

Sophie Dance is proud to offer a military discount of 10% on all tuition and on all boutique items to any dancer with a parent who is active duty or retired.  This applies to direct parents only and parent must show ID to receive discount.

The health and safety of our students is always our priority.  If your dancer is showing any signs of illness, including but not limited to a fever of 99.6 or above, they are not permitted to attend their dance class or camp.  

Sophie Dance has two locations that operate as separate businesses with different partners and different schedules and availability. Sophie Dance 3rd Street and Level Up Dance Academy is in Mid-City and Sophie Dance West is in Brentwood. Please make sure you are signing up for the correct location before registering your child.  We are not able to accommodate transfers at this time if you sign up for the wrong location.

Sophie Dance and Level Up Dance Academy have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and racism.  

We are an environment that holds space exclusively for inspiration, collaboration, kindness, compassion, tolerance, movement and art.  

Any incident occurring in the dance studio between clients that is perceived to be racist in nature or as defined below, an act of bullying, will be handled with a two-strike process.  

Strike 1 will result in a meeting with both parties to discuss the incident, ensure all sides and feelings are shared, heard and understood and a plan to move forward in tolerance and kindness together in class.  

Strike 2: If a second incident involving the same client takes place, the client will be un-enrolled in the dance program and all remaining monies will be returned to the client.  

When it is determined that a student, teacher, or staff member has committed a racist act, the person will be provided the opportunity to learn about the impact of their actions prior to the suspension or firing of a team player.   

Racism: defined as a system of structuring opportunity and assigning value based on the social interpretation of how one looks (which is what we call “race”), that unfairly disadvantages some individuals and communities, unfairly advantages other individuals and communities, and saps the strength of the whole society through the waste of human resources.  

Individual racism: pre-judgment, bias, or discrimination by an individual based on race. This includes both privately held beliefs, conscious and unconscious, and external behaviors and actions towards others  

Bullying: seek to harm, intimidate, or coerce (someone perceived as vulnerable) 

At Sophie Dance, we believe dance education is about so much more than learning steps. We are committed to creating an environment where children develop confidence, friendships, discipline, creativity, and a lifelong love of dance.  Every child deserves to feel safe, welcomed, respected, and celebrated.

We recognize that parents are passionate advocates for their children, and we value that partnership. In return, we ask every family to help us preserve the positive, nurturing, and inclusive community that makes Sophie Dance special.

By enrolling a child in our programs, parents and guardians agree to the following expectations.

All interactions with Sophie Dance teachers, staff, students, and other families must remain respectful and appropriate.  Disagreements are sometimes inevitable.  Disrespectful behavior is not.  Parents and guardians agree to:

• Communicate concerns calmly, constructively, and privately.
• Treat all staff members, students, and families with courtesy and respect.
• Refrain from yelling, threatening, intimidating, humiliating, or engaging in verbally aggressive behavior.
• Avoid spreading rumors, making personal attacks, or engaging in conduct intended to embarrass or undermine another family or staff member.

No parent or guardian may confront, question, reprimand, discipline, intimidate, or otherwise intervene directly with another family's child regarding behavioral concerns, interpersonal disagreements, or allegations of misconduct.  This expectation applies throughout the studio, including classrooms, hallways, waiting areas, rehearsals, performances, and studio sponsored events.

Any concerns involving another student, including allegations of bullying, exclusion, or unkind behavior, must be reported directly to studio management.

Only authorized Sophie Dance staff may investigate and address student behavioral concerns.

Parents may not enter a classroom for the purpose of confronting or questioning another student.

This policy does not prevent an adult from intervening appropriately in an immediate emergency to protect a child from harm.

Sophie Dance takes reports of bullying, harassment, exclusion, and inappropriate student behavior seriously.  We also recognize that children are developing social and emotional skills, and that misunderstandings and disagreements can occur.

All reported concerns will be reviewed fairly and with appropriate sensitivity to the ages of the children involved.

Parents agree to:

• Report concerns directly to studio management rather than approaching another child or family.
• Allow staff to review the circumstances before drawing conclusions.
• Respect the privacy of all students involved.
• Refrain from encouraging retaliation, exclusion, gossip, or public confrontation.
• Support constructive, age-appropriate conflict resolution.

• Parents and guardians may enter classrooms only when invited or authorized by Sophie Dance staff.
• Parents may not interrupt classes, rehearsals, or instructional activities to address personal concerns.
• Student behavior and classroom conflicts will be managed by authorized staff.
• Studio management reserves the right to establish reasonable drop-off, pickup, observation, and classroom access procedures.

These boundaries help ensure that every dancer can participate without unnecessary disruption or embarrassment.

Our teachers and staff deserve a professional environment in which they can perform their responsibilities without intimidation, harassment, or repeated interference.

Parents agree to respect instructional decisions, communicate concerns through appropriate channels, and allow management to address issues involving staff, students, and studio operations.

Disagreements with studio decisions should be communicated privately to management.

Families are expected to respect the privacy and dignity of all students.

Parents may not publicly share sensitive information, allegations, or disciplinary matters involving another child.

Concerns should be addressed through appropriate studio channels rather than through parent group chats, social media, or public discussions.

Studio surveillance footage and confidential student information will be handled by management in accordance with applicable law and studio policies.

Participation in Level Up Dance Academy's Competition Teams, Performance Teams, productions, and special events carries additional expectations of cooperation, teamwork, and respectful conduct.  Parents are expected to support a positive team environment and refrain from behavior that creates hostility, intimidation, or unnecessary conflict among dancers, families, or staff.

Sophie Dance reserves the right to impose reasonable restrictions on parent participation, attendance, or access when necessary to protect the team environment.  Sophie Dance reserves the right to remove a child from any team placements when necessary to protect the team environment.

Sophie Dance reserves the right to respond to violations of this Code of Conduct in a manner proportionate to the seriousness of the conduct.

Actions may include:

1. A verbal or written warning.
2. A required meeting with studio management.
3. Restrictions on a parent's access to classrooms, rehearsals, or studio facilities.
4. Required use of an alternative authorized adult for student drop-off and pickup.
5. Suspension of a parent's attendance at studio activities.
6. Changes to or termination of a family's enrollment, subject to applicable agreements and refund requirements.

Serious violations involving threats, intimidation, harassment, or direct confrontation of a child may result in immediate protective restrictions without a prior warning.

Studio management will consider the circumstances of each incident, including the safety and well being of the children involved.

At Sophie Dance, we believe that the adults in our community have an important responsibility to model the kindness, respect, and emotional maturity we hope to instill in our children.  Our dancers are watching how we treat one another.  By working together, we can ensure that Sophie Dance remains a place where every child feels a sense of belonging, confidence, joy, and encouragement.
